Easter

It's 11:17 pm and as usual I'm awake but should probably be sleeping. I've been organizing things in the disaster that I call my room for about the last hour and a half. Unfortunately it still looks pretty much the same. Gah... oh well.

My band mate and former boyfriend Josh suggested that each member of the band start a blog. Typically I'm not one for sharing my life with anyone besides my family and immediate significant other, let alone the rest of the world, but I've decided to try something new for a change. It's a new year- a new day right?

Easter was A-ok! I spent the majority of the day doing absolutely nothing. The family is scattered all over the place. The parents were back in my hometown of Hixton. (Tee hee. I know. Hixton pronounced Hickston, typically converts to Hick town in the minds of many that I talk to) This always seems to produce a few childish chuckles from individuals who ask me where I'm originally from. It's so silly. Anyway, my sister is off to Vegas enjoying herself with her studly boyfriend Jorge and the brother is working. Somehow the whole family never manages to get together, even on important holidays.

Sooo my Easter was full of T.V. watching, watching Jonas play Gears of War, and birdy activities. I also spent a lot of time fending off my little bird monster Orrin who was very adamant about pecking my cuticles, biting my ears, and attempting to pull my eyelashes out. He's a real treat, but I still love him a lot! I might want my birds to have bird babies but I haven't made a final decision on that one yet. I may not have much of a choice though since Orrin and Orchid have been going at it like newlyweds for the past few weeks. I guess time will tell. Maybe I'll be a grandma soon.

I'm listening to The Strokes right now, but a Joshua Lauer song was previously playing on my Ipod. He's an amazing songwriter/lyricist. I'm not sure if anyone is actually reading this, but if you are you should check out some of his music. He didn't tell me to write that either. There are so many talented artists around who go unnoticed and it is such a shame.

Well... I'm getting tired and have to work with the children early in the morning. So off to bed I go. I hope to have happy dreams again.
